Lina soft is an Arabic typeface from Lina-type family, with a warm and humane feeling. It's legible, soft, clear, flexible, simple, and contemporary. With a handful set of OpenType features and alternatives.

Lina type family consists of Lina soft, Lina sans, Lina round.

The design is inspired by the Kufic calligraphic style and influenced by the Naskh style.

Lina soft was highly crafted in order to perform well both on screen and in print. The large x-height and open counters make it function well even on small font sizes.

As the basis for this new font artist and designer Lena Schmidt used an old font design by her mother Jutta. At a young age, her mother drew and illustrated a lot with pen and ink. She made beautiful illustrations and many font designs. Schmidt chose one of these drafts - delicately drawn Donovan lyrics - as the basis for this digital handwritten stencil font. What emerged from it is a stencil text and display typeface that relates to Auriol's art nouveau typefaces and the era of impressionism.

Torreta was born for a child book named “La fábrica de etiquetas” (The tag factory) by Emma Piquer, illustrations by Calle, published in 2021 by Editorial Juventud. A project that was initiated in the middle of the confinement, between 2 old friends in Barcelona and a talented illustrator in Madrid. The book talks about a childhood without tags, to positively promote respectful child-rearing.
